Jason Shelfer:You are too.
Jana Shelfer:This is a tie back to our last podcast where we talked about doing a 30-day challenge of writing an affirmation for 30 days with your left hand. Now, this morning, we are on our way to Australia.
Jason Shelfer:Woohoo!
Jana Shelfer:And as we have been packing, I have been thinking, and I actually wrote down, thank you so much for a safe trip. Thank you for letting me be the world champion. Thank you for I mean, are you with me on this?
Jason Shelfer:All the things that are coming up on this trip.
Jana Shelfer:Now, those things haven't happened yet. However, I am getting into a state of gratitude for the future. The future. And no matter what happens, it's not like I'm putting expectations on the universe, I'm just living in this state, state of mind, which is gratitude. And many times when we get into the feeling we want to have, then we start attracting the experiences that create that feeling.
Jason Shelfer:That's so powerful because as you start being grateful for that the possibility and envisioning what that will feel like. So thank you for a safe trip. Your body and your mind start imagining this safe trip. Like your subconscious starts picturing, okay, what does a safe trip feel like? What is it, what does that look like for me?
Jana Shelfer:For me, it means not pooping my pants on the plane.
Jason Shelfer:Right? It means people smiling at you. It means people waving. It means all this, it's it's a smooth, peaceful transition through the airport. It's all these, it's all this beautifulness that's going on in this travel.
Jana Shelfer:And enjoying it. I picture us enjoying it. Thank you for allowing us to enjoy seeing new parts of the world.
Jason Shelfer:Thank you for allowing this 16-hour transition through time and space and no jet lag. Like all these trips.
Jana Shelfer:Jason gets hung up on that every single time. Every single time we talk about our trip to Australia, he's like, we're gonna be living in the future. That's right.
Jason Shelfer:I'm excited about that. You get to pick some lottery numbers.
Jana Shelfer:So today's podcast is about getting into the future feeling of what you want to create. And when you do that, the universe has this weird way of energetically, I mean, it's really physics, right? It's quantum physics.
Jason Shelfer:It's it's energetically aligning with the things that you want instead of manifesting what you don't want. Because so how often are we reverse manifesting things? We start catastrophizing, we start going, we start saying the worst. Yes, we start saying, what if the worst case scenario happens? And then our reticular activating system opens up and set starts looking for that worst case scenario.
Jana Shelfer:I did that a little bit this week, but we won't go there. We're gonna we're gonna stick to one topic. Right. We Jason and I have a really bad habit of offering the side.
Jason Shelfer:I will jump the squirrel over the fence. That's what I do. I take the lawnmower into the neighbor's yard.
Jana Shelfer:Kiddy!
Jason Shelfer:So today we are talking about being grateful for things that haven't happened yet that are coming in the future.
Jana Shelfer:And the the whole key word there is yet. Yet. And there is a fine line of not putting expectations on what we expect to happen.
Jason Shelfer:Yes, because a lot of times what'll happen, what it's that feeling. So it's recognizing what does it feel like? Because sometimes what we what we ex what we put that label, quote unquote, expect expectation of. Yes, the universe has something bigger and better planned for us.
Jana Shelfer:That is true.
Jason Shelfer:And if we just know the feeling, we can lean towards that and we can go down the road towards that feeling, and then we will get something bigger and better for us.
Jana Shelfer:I got a feeling.
Jason Shelfer:Woo! Oh, it's not sounding terrible. Good night. Yeah, but so it's just knowing that feeling so we can be we can be on the lookout for it.
Jana Shelfer:Okay.
Jason Shelfer:And and and just kind of walk that path.
Jana Shelfer:Live into it. This is manifesting 101. This is exactly what Abraham Hicks talks about.
Jason Shelfer:It took me a long time to get there.
Jana Shelfer:Even Wayne Dyer, this is what they talk about when you get into the feeling you want to experience.
Jason Shelfer:I thought, I thought I understood it. Like you, and you were on this from probably day one, where you said it's about that feeling. It's a it's about the feeling. And I was convinced it was about the thought.
Jana Shelfer:Well, it's both. It is both.
Jason Shelfer:There's and we talked about this a couple of podcasts ago where it's the It's also about the actions. I think it was two podcasts ago, maybe three, but it's the thoughts, feelings, and actions. But you said it's it really goes back to that feeling. And thoughts kind of create the feelings, but also feelings create those thoughts. And when we can create that feeling, because feelings happen, and we've got to learn to recognize those feelings. And what I did was I I tried to manufacture feelings, and I tried to only manufacture the ones I wanted. And I said, I'm gonna ignore anything I don't like.
Jana Shelfer:Okay. And so I love- Well, here's the thing: those feelings that you don't like, there's energy there.
Jason Shelfer:There's a lot of energy there.
Jana Shelfer:There's energy there showing me that we we can still feel the feels, right? And yet we can transmute that energy into productive, efficient ways.
Jason Shelfer:And those feelings are valid, and they're worth something. Like they have value, so that and they're showing me something. And and I love what you say. It's like, it's like, what is this teaching me? What is what is this for? Like, what's it, what's it telling me? And that's that's where I was like, I don't want to know what it's telling me. I just want to know what the good like I want to I want to change it to something good right now and and move towards that. So I I love the fact that now I can start just kind of recognizing that feeling. And I love this tool where I can say, okay, what am I thankful for? Because this lets me set my tone. What am I thankful for in the future?
Jana Shelfer:You're acting as if you're acting as if your dreams have already come true. And when you do that, you start almost living in your imagination. I know for me, I have this vision almost every time that I meditate. I'm like having trouble getting my words out. Every time I meditate, I have this vision of me winning, I want to call it an Academy Award. That's what it looks like to me. Now, I'm not sure that you know that exact vision is going to happen, but it's bizarre how the universe is aligning itself to where a lot of things that we do, I end up saying, Oh my god, I'm so proud of us.
Jason Shelfer:I am so proud of me. And how how many times do you keep landing on a podium?
Jana Shelfer:I know, right?
Jason Shelfer:As of late, especially and getting handled handed something that's gold, right?
Jana Shelfer:That is true.
Jason Shelfer:It's crazy.
Jana Shelfer:That is true.
Jason Shelfer:And so And having having flashes and pictures being taken and people clapping, like it's it's it's like this, it manifests itself just in different ways.
Jana Shelfer:It is it has been wild and bizarre. So today, our tool is to be grateful for things that haven't happened yet.
Jason Shelfer:This is literally just creating a reality. This is this is Living Lucky® in a nutshell. This is waking up every morning and saying, Thank, thank you for this wonderful day. I'm gonna choose to live lucky in it.
Jana Shelfer:And you can do it in any time span. You can be thankful for things that are happening today that haven't happened yet. Maybe you just want your coworker to offer you a cup of coffee. Thank you. Thank you for people looking out for me and getting me coffee today. Like that can be it can be as small as that. Or you can do a different time frame, maybe a week, maybe a month for us. Thank you for the safe travels. Thank you for us getting all the logistics of our traveling under control. Can you tell we're a little stressed right now?
Jason Shelfer:Thank you for for helping us pack everything that we need to pack.
Jana Shelfer:Thank you for helping me remember my skis. Right and my life jacket and my ropes.
Jason Shelfer:Yeah, the ropes. Gosh, can you imagine forgetting the ropes again?
Jana Shelfer:So you can do it in any time frame, or you could even go a year out. Thank you so much for the wonderful holiday that I got to spend with my family.
