Dance and Raise Vibration

Jana Shelfer

Are you ready to create a life you crave? Let's spin that doom loop of negativity into an upward success cycle and start Living Lucky®.

Jason Shelfer

Good morning.

Jana Shelfer

I'm Jana.

Jason Shelfer

I'm Jason.

Jana Shelfer

And we are Living Lucky®. You are too. We're talking about raising our vibration.

Jason Shelfer

Good, good about raising our vibration. Good, good, good, good vibrations. I was going to join in, but I didn't know what key you were in. I didn't know what key.

Jana Shelfer

I was in.

Jason Shelfer

I didn't even know what song you were singing.

Jana Shelfer

I didn't either.

Jason Shelfer

It was the Beat Boys.

Jana Shelfer

No, I think it's the Beach Boys.

Jason Shelfer

It is for you.

Jana Shelfer

We're talking about dancing? Yes, we are. We often have podcasts on dancing because it is something that has become intertwined into who we are.

Jason Shelfer

It is. It's a new rhythm of life, it's that it's putting us in that new flow state and it's. I don't know why this Michael Jackson song is coming to my head, but it's the way you make me feel the way you make me feel you really turn me on. You know it's. It's kind of goes with Living Lucky® when you got a swagger and you're showing up differently and you got that kind of bounce in your step and I remember that video coming out when MTV first started Uh-huh, and that's what I feel Like. For so long I didn't dance out in public or anywhere.

Jana Shelfer

But you did. You did as soon as you had a couple alcoholic beverages in you. Then you would start dancing.

Jason Shelfer

Because I had something to blame it on.

Jana Shelfer

Is that it yeah?

Jason Shelfer

Because I was like I wasn, was like I didn't.

Jana Shelfer

I wasn't confident in myself, I wasn't confident in my dance we even won a dance contest pimpin ho dance we were at a pimpin ho costume party and next thing, you know, jason and I are on stage dancing. I'm in a prostitute getting our groove on j. Jason is in his pimp costume, I'm having my pimp hands strong and you want to know something funny, is they actually? We won a hundred dollars or so we thought, until we went to McDonald's right afterwards.

Jason Shelfer

And it was a fake hundred To spend the $100.

Jana Shelfer

And it was fake pimp money.

Jason Shelfer

Yes, it was monopoly money. It it was Monopoly money. It had some kind of fake like some weird president face on it. It looked like real money.

Jana Shelfer

Got you, got me, at any rate so we would dance when we were really loose and having fun.

Jason Shelfer

Yeah, and music and dance kind of has that way of getting us into a new mood, like it's one of those things that we can-.

Jana Shelfer

It changes your state. Yes, it changes your state. And I'm telling you so many of us come home from work, we come home from a long day, and what do we say? I'm so exhausted, I am so tired.

Jason Shelfer

I am beat, I am sick and tired.

Jana Shelfer

Guess what you are speaking into existence.

Jason Shelfer

And that's how we end up at the weekend and it's kind of that rhythm.

Jana Shelfer

Thank God, it's Friday. How many times have we said that you know what you're telling your brain? You're telling your brain. Oh my gosh, I barely made it.

Jason Shelfer

I barely made it, and it's time to just go to bed, yeah, and so that's how we step onto the dance floor of our family life.

Jana Shelfer

Oh, let's just stop for a second. We step onto the dance floor of our family life.

Jason Shelfer

So what you just said?

Jana Shelfer

Whatever you want to call it family life. So what you just said is that we, we get into that lower energy state, that lower vibration, and then we bring it home and we spew it to our dog, our kids, our husbands, our spouses, our neighbors, our community, our church. We, literally, we show up differently because we have, we are conditioning our brains, we're playing different music in our head. To say oh, my God.

Jason Shelfer

I've had a day.

Jana Shelfer

I've had a day. I am so tired. Whatever you say after I am is what you become. Yes, and when you speak into the world. I am so tired, I'm exhausted, I've had a terrible day. I just want to blah, blah, blah.

Jason Shelfer

Don't go blah, blah, blah, I just want to Netflix and chill.

Jana Shelfer

That's all I can handle right now. When you say things like that, then that becomes your reality. We are constantly creating our reality and the words we use is paramount.

Jason Shelfer

The words we use matter, because they're the batter that are baking. What's next?

Jana Shelfer

Wait, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. Did you just make up that rhyme I?

Jason Shelfer

did because it's-.

Jana Shelfer

The words matter because they are the batter.

Jason Shelfer

That are baking. What's coming next? That's what you're pulling out of the oven. It's what you're creating. It's what you're creating, yeah.

Jana Shelfer

So we have started. Many of you know the story. We were challenged to take dance lessons. We had all these limiting beliefs.

Jason Shelfer

Some of us were more challenged than others.

Jana Shelfer

We showed up and I want to say that if you look how far we have come in the past year, it is really, really amazing.

Jana Shelfer

I also want to say that whenever I leave the dance lesson, dance studio, dance floor, I always am in a better mood, right, isn't it crazy? Always, and almost everyone at that studio when they leave, they say oh, that felt good. Oh, that felt good. Now, that doesn't mean it's easy. Sometimes it's hard, sometimes it's challenging. However, we always leave and we feel like we are connecting to something. Maybe it's inside our soul, maybe it's God, but we connect with the music, with each other. It's fun and we raise our vibration.

Jason Shelfer

Yeah, and I would say it doesn't have to be dance, find what it is for you that lights you up it could be the gym.

Jason Shelfer

It's like I don't love going to the gym. I love having gone because I'm in a higher frequency, I'm in a higher vibration. I feel great about myself. I have more pep in my step. I have a different energy and flow about myself when I leave the gym. You know, I don't want to get on the get on the weights, you know, but find out what that is. I didn't know how powerful dance was going to be for me. I agree, I had no idea, but there's something beautiful about it.

Jana Shelfer

I just knew that I loved to dance when I was little.

Jason Shelfer

Well, we've done a lot of work over the last 10 years and I know that there's something in my soul, like there's this six-year-old in me, that really now this is going to sound really weird, okay, but wants to strip down to my underoos.

Jana Shelfer

I used to dance in my underoos.

Jason Shelfer

Get out in the sprinkler in the yard and just dance crazy.

Jana Shelfer

What kind of underoos did you have? Because I had Wonder Woman.

Jason Shelfer

I'm sure they were Spider-Man or something.

Jana Shelfer

I also had Daisy Duke.

Jason Shelfer

Oh, I bet you did.

Jana Shelfer

Look at that girl with the Daisy.

Jason Shelfer

Duke sign. Oh get it girl.

Jana Shelfer

You're right, jason. There's something about it, and part of that is blocking out what other people think. You have to get rid of that. I mean, who cares what other people think we may look silly, we may look different, we may fall on our two feet or my two wheels. We're having fun and we're living in joy.

Jason Shelfer

It's a new inspired state, it's in spirit, it is living in spirit. It makes me want to go to Amazon right now and see if they have adult underoos, do they? I'm going to check and if you want to check it out later, make sure you go to Living Lucky TV and see if we've done an episode of Jason in the sprinkler in his front yard in this posh neighborhood dancing in his new adult underoos that might have to be saved for Instagram.

Jana Shelfer

Yeah, that might have to be saved for Instagram. I'm not sure. I'm not sure I want to show up in my underoos, and so if you're, speaking for you.

Jason Shelfer

You can be the camera first.

Jana Shelfer

Okay, okay.

Jason Shelfer

We'll see how this plays out. You heard it here first, folks. I am going to be looking. There's just something that brings out the child in me. It makes me have that inspiration of fun and freedom and dance.

Jana Shelfer

You know, in the bigger picture. That is what transformation is all about. That's what transcendence is all about. It's about peeling all of the layers of learned behaviors. Learned helplessness Learned shame Learned, embarrassment learned all of those emotions, yes, self-conscientious.

Jason Shelfer

Let me not be in my fullness.

Jana Shelfer

And as we transcend and get into a higher vibration, as we raise our consciousness, what we're doing is we are unlearning. We are unlearning all of these. I just want to call them lower vibrational feelings.

Jason Shelfer

Well, when you're holding on to all that other stuff, when you have your hands full of all the shame and all the guilt and all the, what are they going to think of me? It keeps your hands so busy that you can't receive all the gifts and all the guilt and all the. What are they going to think of me? It keeps your hands so busy that you can't receive all the gifts and all the abundance and all the love and prosperity and all the things that you can gather to give more fully of yourself.

Jana Shelfer

Yes, which goes back to our episode one, when we talked about receiving Abra. Okay, so just to wrap all of this up, we had a dance recital on Saturday. We were awesome that was amazing we got a standing ovation.

Jason Shelfer

I did.

Jana Shelfer

It was so fun.

Jason Shelfer

We did.

Jana Shelfer

Yeah, don't say I.

Jason Shelfer

I know I was there as well, I was feeling like a Publix commercial because I know that there were some pieces that my feet were a little off, but I felt really good and it was impactful.

Jana Shelfer

Oh, and I had a Janet Jackson moment you did. That was more than just a nip slip.

Jason Shelfer

That was a. Here's the whole thing. Welcome to the park.

Jana Shelfer

My dress only went over one shoulder and at the very end of our routine.

Jason Shelfer

One of the boulders fell out.

Jana Shelfer

The over shoulder boulder holder fell out and next thing you know, I was holding on to Jason. I was in a wheelie so I couldn't let go and my Boulder fell out my pleasurable parts were in full display. However, we left there Full frontal. Not only did we have fun and we connected with each other, the audience, the other dancers, we also signed up for a dance competition, the first.

Jason Shelfer

The first Coming up Fred Astaire para dance competition In August. That's right around the corner.

Jana Shelfer

I know and we're going to be gone for the next.

Jason Shelfer

Month.

Jana Shelfer

So Like we're gone between signing up and the competition.

Choosing Positive Change and Luck

Jason Shelfer

So I'm going okay. So it took us two years to learn the two day, or a year to learn two dances.

Jana Shelfer

We've only been dancing for a year, yeah.

Jason Shelfer

So we've been dancing for a year. Took that year to learn two dances.

Jana Shelfer

Yeah, three dances, three dances.

Jason Shelfer

But two, the competition dances. And now there's three more competition dances on top of those two. Yes, that we are going to be gone for the month between. So good luck to us, but we're Living Lucky®, so we're going to figure it out.

Jana Shelfer

We'll keep you in the loop. Thanks for joining us. What we have to say today is dance.

Jason Shelfer

Raise your vibrational frequency.

Jana Shelfer

Find what lights your soul up and change your state. It really is a decision. It is your choice, and be very conscious of the words that come out of your mouth, because when we come home, whatever we say after, I am you are is what we are.

Jason Shelfer

So you are Living Lucky, thanks, for being with us.
