Are you ready to create a life you crave? Let's spin that doom loop of negativity into an upward success cycle and start living lucky. Good morning, I'm Janna, I'm Jason and we are living lucky. I hope you are too. From catastrophe to kick-astrophe.
Speaker 2:I like it.
Speaker 1:What did I just say In layman's terms? What I really said is make your mess your message, or turn lemons into lemonade or turn sh into Shinola. That's the one we all relate to. That's the one everyone said oh, I get it now.
Speaker 2:Don't say that I get it. I finally get what you're talking about, but how do you do it?
Speaker 1:It's a message that's been around for years and years and years, and yet what we're really talking about is transmuting energy, because circumstances happen and we can say, oh, turn to the bright side or let's see the positive outlook on things.
Speaker 2:Right, and when you're on your way to your wedding and you're covered in mud, all of a sudden it's hard to notice the bright spots when you're in the dark.
Speaker 1:Yeah. And when somebody says, oh, we'll concentrate on the positive, it just makes you want to slap them in the face. You're like I've been planning this wedding for my entire life and now I'm covered in mud and this is my dream day. It's rain on my wedding day. It's like rain. It's a free ride when I've already paid. It's good advice that I didn't take. And what do you call it? Ironic.
Speaker 2:It's not that ironic.
Speaker 1:Don't you think, no, Anyway. So in the moment you know it's easy to say, oh well, look on the bright side or spin positive, and really what you need to do is somehow change your energy, Let go of that underlying energy. And that's harder said than done.
Speaker 2:Yeah, it's easier to tell someone to do that than to do it yourself. But the thing is, the more you practice it and the more you do it in the small situations, the easier it becomes in all situations.
Speaker 1:And it's not just about looking for the positive, it's not just about that, it's also raising your vibration. So I can't stress this enough. It is literally transmuting the energy, because we all carry energy with us. And if we're looking on the bright side, if we're saying, oh well, you know what, there's a fire and everything in my house is burning down. Oh, but look, there's firemen and policemen that are here helping me, and so I should be grateful that people are here to show kindness and love and support, and so you're having these thoughts okay, well, I'm looking on the bright side, I'm doing what Mr Rogers tells me to say, I'm looking for the helpers, but my world is crumbling.
Speaker 1:But on the inside, you are resentful and you are angry and you are so sad and you are grieving and you are anxious because you're thinking this these are my life, my life's memories, and these are, this is my whole world that is in there, and how am I gonna live without the security of everything I've ever known?
Speaker 2:Yeah, you start getting in that position of now what? And we find ourselves in that that position often, and it can be something as tragic as a fire that's burning your whole house down, or it can be something as simple as getting sick right before you were supposed to go in for an interview for a promotion or something like that, so something you didn't even know you had.
Speaker 1:Which isn't small. We're not demeaning anything. We're not demeaning any of these things because we know that, depending on where you're at in your life, all of these things could be a huge detrimental pit.
Speaker 2:all of these things could be a pit, but if you practice it, even in the small stuff. So let me go back to me, like when I was an ice cream fanatic and every time I went to Publix I had to get ice cream, but I liked one particular flavor of Ben and Jerry's and if they didn't have it it felt like a Katesh.
Speaker 1:Yeah, it was called the Tonight Show.
Speaker 2:I think the Tonight Do.
Speaker 2:Oh the Tonight, Do excuse me, yeah, so I loved the ice cream and I would look forward to it all day long. And then I would go to Publix and I would go into the ice cream aisle and they would be sold out and I would be like, oh, I've been waiting all week for this, now what? And either I would not get it or I would get something else. But it's about transmuting the energy, because I could have lived in that and just felt sorry for myself and even though it wasn't a great habit to have.
Speaker 1:Look what happened to me. I waited all week to have my treat and I.
Speaker 2:I've been in Publix three times all week, but I waited until Friday to get my treat, and now they're sold out.
Speaker 1:I was good, I was good and I waited and look what happened. Look what happened to me, little old Jason, and the universe did me wrong.
Speaker 2:I know, and it's so trivial. But the thing is, when you get aware of these trivial situations and you can apply this, turning catastrophe into kick-ass-trophy then he's saying it so quickly, but what he's really saying is kick-ass-trophy. It's a little word that Jason made up, but go ahead and it came up because I heard someone having trouble pronouncing catastrophe.
Speaker 1:It was a Freudian slip.
Speaker 2:So it's when we can actually start habitualizing that process of transmuting the energy in the small items. Then, as we come across these larger things that happen in our lives, these incidences, then we can actually start leaning into that more because we're comfortable doing it in all areas.
Speaker 1:Okay. So let me just explain this in very simplistic terms. Even if you say, oh well, you know what, I'll just get a different kind of ice cream, it's still ice cream. I should just be grateful that I have a treat that is still trying to focus your thoughts on the positive. However, you still have this negative feeling deep down that you were wronged. It's not what I wanted, it's not what you wanted.
Speaker 2:And you were slighted.
Speaker 1:You got the short end of the stick. And so, when you have that feeling, then guess what you attract, guess what you will manifest More of the same. It's like the universe hears. Jason feels wronged. So guess what? That's what he loves, that's what he wants. That's what he is focusing on. His attention can't stop thinking when he comes home and he eats that vanilla ice cream which is blue bunny or blue bell or whatever it is he eats the generic Schwann's ice cream and he's eating it on the couch every bite.
Speaker 1:He's thinking it's not the tonight dough.
Speaker 2:It's a disappointment.
Speaker 1:It's not the tonight dough. Look at that fellow on the couch over there.
Speaker 2:He loves disappointment. He's just gobbling it up.
Speaker 1:It's not the tonight dough Boy. This would be so much better if it was the tonight dough and he just has this snarky little attitude with every single bite, and so the universe. It's almost like grumbling through it, because he is so fixated and obsessed with this particular sensation, this frequency, this vibration. The universe who does not speak in words? And that is what we don't understand as humans. We don't understand that the universe does not understand our words. The universe understands the way we feel.
Speaker 2:Yeah, it fits into you. It fits your vibrational frequency into its vibrational sequence and just puts you where you're trying to get to.
Speaker 1:And so when the universe feels Jason feeling disappointed, the universe thinks, oh, jason wants to be in the disappointment category. So then the universe slips Jason over in disappointment and continues to give Jason disappointment Until Jason can lower his ego and get outside of himself and realize. You know what I don't like living in disappointment anymore, I want to live in. And that's where Jason gets to make a decision, because Choices. People often when, when a slew of disappointment starts coming their way, they can either go into a further doom loop.
Speaker 2:That's wallowing in the disappointment wallowing in the disappointment which then becomes resentment and anger and despair and you can feel this because you feel weighted down and you feel like there's no way out shame and guilt Isolation start sharing that with all your friends and the more you start feeling isolated and lonely.
Speaker 1:And once you feel lonely, then you don't feel loved and then you feel bitter and unworthy. And I mean it just keeps getting lower and lower and lower and you just start sliding down the sludge of it's. It's horrible, and I can talk about this because I've been there. I've been there and the lower you get, the harder it is to start climbing out of.
Speaker 2:Yeah, that's the whole part about when you just make that decision to transmute that energy and start finding something to build from. It's almost like an inner innovation schematic where you're like, ok, oh, that's, that's a really big term. I'll probably have to look it up also, but it's it's when you can start saying, ok, what is it? How is this for me, instead of why did this happen to me?
Speaker 1:What is the universe trying to teach me? It's all about the questions we ask ourselves. And when we ask ourselves disempowering questions, guess what? We become disempowered. Our brain doesn't know the difference. When we ask ourselves empowering questions, guess what we start becoming empowered.
Speaker 2:Yeah, it's like. It's like giving yourself an energizer shot, like the energizer bunny. It's, it's building forward.
Speaker 1:So when you ask yourself what is the universe trying to teach me? What am I learning here? How can I grow? How lucky am I? What is great about this situation? And people often say what do you mean? You're in a circumstance that you perceive to not be working for you and you ask the question what is great about this?
Speaker 2:From the outside looking at, most people are going to say, wow, that sucks.
Speaker 1:That's how you transmit your energy. That's how you get your energy from going in the downward spiral to the upward spiral. Is you start asking better questions. Better questions equals a better quality of life.
Speaker 2:Wow.
Speaker 1:You, you control the way your life goes, because your brain is going to answer these questions. By the quality of questions you ask yourself.
Speaker 2:That's so huge and we've lived through this from what happened to me, or what's wrong with me, to what's right with me.
Speaker 1:So let's practice. If I say why God, why are you doing this to me? Why is this happening? Which way is my life going to go?
Speaker 2:It's going in the turd turd bucket.
Speaker 1:It's going in the turd bucket. I'm swimming out to bucket island.
Speaker 2:We're going to have to bleep.
Speaker 1:that way, I'm sorry, but that's where I'm headed.
Speaker 2:That's a real thing and that's what happens to so many people is they start swimming out to Effort Island and they're going to drown themselves on the way.
Speaker 1:I'm living in victim hood instead of living in living lucky neighborhood. I mean, there's two different neighborhoods that you can live in it's either victimhood or living lucky hood.
Speaker 2:The houses in living lucky hood are a lot nicer and more extravagant than victimhood.
Speaker 1:It's so true.
Speaker 2:I know it is. It's just, it's not even about the houses, it's about the people. It's not the aesthetic of the house, it's about the community. It's about the fellowship and the fun.
Speaker 1:It's just about. It's about living in. It's the energy, it's the energy.
Speaker 2:Yes, that's energy. That's my new favorite saying that's energy.
Speaker 1:So which hood do you want to live in? Do you want to live in victimhood or living lucky hood?
Speaker 2:Yeah, start turning your catastrophe into catastrophe.
Speaker 1:Okay, we've got way too many puns for one podcast.
Speaker 2:I love it though.
Speaker 1:For one puncast. That's right.
Speaker 2:Welcome. We should start a puncast station.
Speaker 1:Oh my gosh, we've taken this way too far, but we appreciate you joining us and thank you. I hope this helps somebody, because I feel like if you listen to this again and again and if you send it to at least 100 of your friends, yeah, well in life we're going through health issues, financial issues, relationship issues, personal life issues and oftentimes we get sucked into that doom loop of why is this happening to me?
Speaker 2:And if we can just switch that around into, how is this happening for me? It changes the whole ball game. It really does. It allows you to be the victor instead of the victim. It really does. It's huge. So we invite you to be in a living lucky life cycle with us and join us every other day, basically for a podcast.
Speaker 1:Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
Speaker 2:Yeah.
Speaker 1:And hopefully you've gotten a few gold nuggets from this, because it really hit home for me today.
Speaker 2:Awesome.
Speaker 1:Catastrophe to.
Speaker 2:Kickastrophe.
Speaker 1:That's a Jason word. Have a great day, guys.
Speaker 2:Trade market.
Speaker 1:Thanks for joining us, bye, bye. If the idea of living lucky appeals to you, visit us at startlivingluckycom.
